National Youth Tournament 2024:

The U18 boys' grade at the National Youth Tournament at Puketawhero Park in Rotorua was fiercely competitive, with a mix of results for our Northern Swords team.

On the first day, the boys narrowly lost to the Counties Manukau Dynasty team by 4 points and trailed the Southern Scorpions by 6 at halftime. Coached by Gee Martin and Damien Cook, the team was eager to showcase their skills against the top competition in New Zealand. Trainer Boston Kake expressed his pride in the boys' efforts, stating they should "be proud of how they stood up" against some of the bigger teams in the tournament.

The weather put a spin on the tournament, however the boys put their best foot forward and notched up some results that are certainly to be proud of.
